At Lucky Seven Tattoo LLC, we believe that your tattoo should be as unique as you are. Our talented artists are skilled in a variety of tattoo styles, each offering a distinct look, feel, and meaning. Whether you prefer bold and traditional designs or intricate and modern artwork, we can help you bring your vision to life.
Realism Tattoos
Realism tattoos are incredibly detailed, lifelike tattoos that capture the exact likeness of a person, animal, or object. Whether it’s a portrait of a loved one or a depiction of nature, realism tattoos require meticulous shading and an eye for detail. The goal is to create a tattoo so lifelike that it looks as if you could touch it.
Traditional (Old School) Tattoos
Traditional tattoos, also known as Old School tattoos, are characterized by their bold black outlines and vibrant primary colors. These tattoos often include iconic imagery such as roses, anchors, skulls, and eagles. The simplicity and boldness of the designs are meant to last through the years without fading.
Neo-Traditional Tattoos
Neo-Traditional tattoos are a more modern version of the traditional style, using the same bold outlines and vibrant colors but with added complexity and detail. Neo-Traditional tattoos often incorporate more intricate shading, and the color palette is expanded to include more subtle tones. This style blends old-school aesthetics with new techniques and themes.
Black & Grey Tattoos
Black & Grey tattoos are created using shades of black ink to create soft, realistic shading. These tattoos are ideal for those who want a tattoo that’s more subtle yet deeply expressive. This style is often used for portraits, fine line work, and shading-heavy designs.
Watercolor Tattoos
Watercolor tattoos mimic the flow and vibrancy of watercolor paintings. They use flowing, splashed colors that appear to bleed outside of the lines of the design. This style gives your tattoo a soft, artistic feel, with gradients and splashes of color that make it look as though it were painted directly on your skin.
Geometric & Mandala Tattoos
Geometric tattoos use clean, precise lines and shapes to create abstract or symmetrical designs. Mandala tattoos, often circular in shape, represent balance, unity, and harmony. These tattoos often include intricate patterns and shapes like triangles, squares, and circles, giving them a meditative, spiritual quality.
Fine Line Tattoos
Fine Line tattoos are known for their thin, delicate lines and minimalist designs. This style focuses on the details and is perfect for small, intricate tattoos. Fine Line tattoos can range from single-line designs to highly detailed images created with ultra-thin needles. This style is perfect for people who prefer subtle and precise tattoos.
Tribal Tattoos
Tribal tattoos have deep cultural roots and are often used to represent a connection to heritage, power, or spirituality. They typically feature bold, black lines and patterns that form abstract shapes or symbols. The designs are often inspired by ancient traditions, and each tribe or culture has its own unique symbols and meanings.
Japanese Tattoos
Japanese tattoos, also known as Irezumi, are known for their vivid colors, large-scale designs, and traditional Japanese themes. Common motifs include koi fish, dragons, cherry blossoms, and tigers. These tattoos are often designed to cover large areas of the body, such as the back, arms, or chest.
Script & Lettering Tattoos
Script tattoos are all about the power of words. Whether it's a favorite quote, a personal mantra, or a meaningful date, these tattoos are created with beautiful, flowing script or custom typography. The key to script tattoos is personalization, ensuring the font, size, and placement reflect the sentiment of the text.

Tattoo Aftercare Dos and Don’ts
Dos:
- Do wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.
- Do keep your tattoo clean and dry throughout the healing process.
- Do wear loose clothing to prevent rubbing or friction on the tattoo.
- Do keep your tattoo out of the sun, as UV rays can fade the ink.
- Do continue moisturizing your tattoo until it’s fully healed.
- Do keep the tattoo area elevated if you notice excessive swelling.
Don’ts:
- Don’t scratch, pick, or peel the scabs off your tattoo.
- Don’t submerge the tattoo in water (e.g., no swimming, hot tubs, or baths) for at least 3-4 weeks.
- Don’t expose your tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning beds during the healing period.
- Don’t use harsh, scented soaps, or products with alcohol on your tattoo.
- Don’t wear tight, restrictive clothing over the tattoo that could cause irritation or rubbing.
Tattoo Aftercare Cleaning Process
Your new tattoo is a piece of art that you’ll carry with you for a lifetime. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure it heals correctly, looks great, and remains vibrant. At Lucky Seven Tattoo LLC, we provide all our clients with the knowledge they need to care for their tattoos properly. Below is a detailed guide to help you through the healing process.
1. Keep It Covered
- Timeframe: Leave the bandage or plastic wrap on your tattoo for the first 2-4 hours. This helps protect it from bacteria and keeps it clean right after your session.
- How to do it: After your artist removes the initial covering, you may need to cover the tattoo again, especially if you’re going out in public or if you’re worried about dirt or bacteria. Use a sterile, breathable bandage like Saniderm for protection.
2. Gently Wash Your Tattoo
- Timeframe: After you remove the covering (usually within a few hours), gently wash your tattoo.
- How to do it: Use lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap (preferably anti-bacterial). Gently lather the soap onto your tattoo using your hands—avoid using a washcloth or anything abrasive.
- Important Note: Do not scrub your tattoo; instead, gently clean away any excess ink, blood, or plasma.
3. Pat Dry, Don’t Rub
- Timeframe: After washing, gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean, soft towel or paper towel. Never rub it.
- Why: Rubbing can irritate the skin and disturb the healing process, so always be gentle.
4. Apply Aftercare Ointment
- Timeframe: Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare ointment (like Hustle Butter Deluxe, Aquaphor, or Tattoo Goo) immediately after washing and drying the tattoo.
- How to do it: You only need a small amount—just enough to lightly coat the tattoo. Over-moisturizing can clog pores and slow down healing, so less is more.
5. Keep It Moisturized
- Timeframe: After the initial ointment stage (the first 2-3 days), switch to a fragrance-free moisturizer.
- How to do it: Apply a light layer of moisturizer throughout the healing process, but do not over-apply.
Healing Process: What to Expect
1. The First Few Days (0-3 Days):
- Your tattoo will be red, swollen, and tender. This is normal and part of the healing process. You may also see a thin layer of plasma or ink residue around the tattoo.
- Tip: Make sure the tattoo stays clean and moisturized to prevent scabbing. Try not to touch it with dirty hands.
2. Peeling and Flaking (4-10 Days):
- As the tattoo heals, it will begin to peel and flake, similar to the way sunburn skin sheds. This is a natural part of the healing process.
- Tip: Don’t pick or scratch the tattoo. Let it flake off naturally to avoid disturbing the tattoo.
3. Fully Healed (2-4 Weeks):
- At this point, the outer layer of skin will be fully healed, but the tattoo may still be healing beneath the surface. Your tattoo may look a bit dull or faded during this phase.
- Tip: Continue moisturizing until the tattoo is fully healed. Avoid sun exposure and swimming for at least 3-4 weeks.
